FDH records roots started back in the late 1990's. I began doing a tape label called "Illmattic Jerk Records". This short lived record label did alot of small DIY cassettes from around the Hudson Valley NY area. After a slow start and some issues with a few bands I decided to stop doing the label.

Over the next few years I tended to focus more on my own band at the time and less on putting out records. That is until in the Summer of 2002 I decided to put out a LP featuring 4 local punk bands. The 4 way split LP titled "True Horror" was the beginning of FDH records. It was releases in Feb of 2003. At that point I only had plans of keeping the label around to do a few local releases.

Not long after this I joined forces with 2 local friends to begin to define what FDH would be. For many years we catered to the Hudson Valley and the Noise scene in that area. For many years (2003-2006) we did a series of DIY cassettes and CDRS mostly given away for free at local shows

In the Summer of 2006 I began to reach further with the label. Striving to put out more vinyl releases, and getting more involved with the punk and synth bands I had been listening to for years. The label relocated to Philadelphia in the Winter of 2006-2007 and has been growing into our current state since then.
